Hi, I’m Katy, and I’m so glad you’re here.

My Bible teaching days began in my home as a young mom. From the floor of my children’s bedroom to the living room where I gathered with other women, I’ve spent more than a decade opening God’s Word and teaching it to others. In 2017, I joined the First 5 team at Proverbs 31 Ministries where I continue to study, train and teach the Bible. 

I’m married to my college sweetheart and former NFL quarterback, Luke. I left my job as a television news reporter to join him on our adventure in the National Football League. During our thirteen years in the NFL, we moved more than a dozen times as Luke played on six teams, primarily as a backup quarterback.

We have six children, plus two puppies, and I think you’ll understand me when I say, I love a cup of strong coffee—or two—and my van is never clean. Never ever.

It’s safe to say the road has been anything but predictable. But through all of the uncertainties and surprises, I’ve learned some secrets about living sure even when the future is not. Because even when God’s path seemed to sideline my plans, it never sidelined my purpose. Which is a large part of what birthed She Laughs Ministries.
